Audubon's Mission: To conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats for the benefit of humanity and the earth's biological diversity.

TO APPLY
Review all exhibition entry requirements
Submit entry form with waiver, fee, and artwork by deadline. 

1. Up to two pieces of artwork may be entered

(must meet the following requirements)

  • Created in the past 3 years
  • Never exhibited before at a previous LAC exhibition
  • Meet the Wyoming native or migratory subject matter and media criteria (no works of domestic horses, cows, dogs etc are accepted.)
  • Have proper hanging device - standing picture frames will NOT be accepted. Wire and hook across back required.

CATEGORIES
  • Adult Professional An artist who exhibits as a professional yearly and/or consistently sells $1000+ worth of art annually.
  • Adult Aspiring
  • Teen Aspiring 17-13 years old
  • Youth 12 and under 

MEDIA CRITERIA
  • oil and acrylic
  • watercolor 
  • graphics and drawings (includes woodcuts, lithographs, aquatints, etchings, serigraphs, silkscreens, pencil drawings, charcoal drawings, pen and ink, scratch board, etc.)
  • sculpture (no waxes)
  • other media: fiber, batik, leatherwork, wall hangings, stained glass, collage, bronze etc.)
  • No photography accepted.


COMMISSION

The commission on sold artwork is 30%. Selling art is a priority for the LAC. We prefer art that is for sale, but it is not a requirement for show entry. Checks will be written at the beginning of the  month following the close of the exhibition. Purchased artwork must remain in the exhibition until its close.

TIMELINE

Deadline for completed entries and artwork:
December 22, 2017 

Artwork will be on exhibit:
January 5 - February 17, 2018
Artwork will not be allowed to be removed from the exhibition until February 17, 2018

Opening reception:
January 5,  6 - 8pm
The opening is free and open to the public. All artists are encouraged  to attend. 

Exhibition ends: February 17, 2018

Artwork must be picked up at the Lander Art Center by February 19, 2018. Please let staff know if you require special arrangements.
